A State Trooper ended up with a minor head injury after an accident on I-86W in Campbell on November 3, the New York State Police said. The New York State Trooper injured in the crash was immediately taken to Robert Packer Hospital where he got suitable treatment.
The accident occurred around 3:50 p.m. when a car tried to merge into another lane around a truck and hit the Trooper’s vehicle in the left lane. The trooper was responding to a call when the accident happened, so their car had its lights on.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Guthrie Corning with non-life-threatening injuries.
The first thing you need to do if you are involved in a car accident is to seek medical help for yourself and for other potentially injured people. Even if you are well and there are no visible injuries, make sure to get a medical exam just in case.
After the accident, it’s time to consult with a car accident lawyer. Even though things may seem easy and understandable, having a lawyer by your side will help you more than you can imagine.
For instance, your lawyer will collect evidence while you’re recovering. Also, they would review your case and tell you how much your compensation might be (every case is different). Your attorney would not accept any lower settlement and will give their best to negotiate with the insurance company until you get a suitable offer. It should cover your medical fees, damages, and lost wages.
Maybe you’re now worried and have a million questions about your accident (fault, claim, damages, etc.). Allow a skilled and experienced team to stand by your side. Our team is here for you: Our New York car accident attorneys will review your case for free and will guide you in the process.
