The driver of a minivan died in a Bronx River Parkway tree crash after he lost control of the vehicle on the morning of November 15. When the driver lost control over their vehicle, the van went off the road and hit a tree in Yonkers about a mile north of the Bronx’s E. 233rd St. exit. The crash happened approximately at 7 a.m. The driver was going towards the Bronx when the accident occurred.
According to Westchester police, the first responders pulled the driver out of the vehicle, but he was already dead. Police are investigating the Bronx River Parkway tree crash to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
No person ever expects an accident, but it can happen to anyone. You can be a careful and dedicated driver who follows the road rules and still end in a crash. Although most accidents happen because of speeding and drunk driving, other factors can add to the crash. Sometimes factors that contribute to accidents can be a phone distraction, health issues, road debris, faulty vehicle parts, or weather condition.
If you ever find yourself in an accident, no matter if you’re the driver or not, make sure that you are well. If you can, get out of the vehicle, and seek medical help immediately. You don’t have to have visible injuries to get a medical exam. It’s important to report the crash to the police, even if it’s just a minor thing.
This would help you in the further process when seeking your compensation claim. It’s best if you file the claim with a skilled car accident attorney who knows this process perfectly. The insurance company will try to offer a lower settlement (they may even deny it). This is why you need a good lawyer by your side.
