Four civilians and a firefighter were injured this morning after a crane on top of a Hell’s Kitchen skyscraper caught fire and partially collapsed onto 10th Ave.

The five-alarm fire broke out at 7:25 this morning at a construction site located at 550 10th Ave and the headquarters of Covenant House. The fire was under control by 9:00 AM.

Video footage shows the crane atop the vacant building on fire before a piece of the structure breaks off and collapses into the building across the street.

The four civilians and firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. An operator was on top of the crane when the fire broke out but was able to get away safely with no injuries. • Thank you for your efforts on my behalf. I am very pleased (and surprised) at the amount of the settlement. We will use the funds to help pay down the debt on the truck we had to purchase after ours was totaled. Thank you again.

  • I am writing this letter to say how much I appreciate your services pertaining to my case. Your injury attorney took a hands-on approach and left me fully informed at all times as to where my case was going as well as how much ground we had to cover; leaving the final decisions in my hands but making sure that I knew all of the risks involved in the choices. I have dealt with a few law firms in my life on various different cases and this is the first time that I never had to call and/or track down my lawyer… because of this, I have and will continue to recommend Cellino Law to my friends and associates.

  • Joe and I just wanted to send you this note thanking you for the professional way you handled our lawsuit. Your kindness was extremely appreciated in a very difficult time. When we found out the people that caused the accident had no insurance, we thought our chances of receiving any settlement was nonexistent. Once we met with you and released you were able to help us our minds were put at ease. Your aggressive manner of handling the case exceeded our expectations. Please feel free to use us as a reference. Thank you so much and best wishes,

    Danielle and Joe
