A motorcyclist was killed in an accident that occurred in the early morning hours on Tuesday. The accident happened on Interstate 290 in the Town of Tonawanda.

Authorities responded to Interstate 290 east, near the Colvin Boulevard exit, after they got a report of an injured motorcycle rider after he got hit by a car at about 3:35 a.m.

Forty-seven-year-old John A. Serrano from North Tonawanda was traveling eastbound on Interstate 290 when his motorcycle left the pavement and he was forced onto the middle lane of traffic.

According to the police, Serrano was hit by several vehicles while lying on the road and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.

The accident is investigated by the Town of Tonawanda Police Department. Drivers of the other vehicles that became involved in the accident are cooperating with the police. None of the drivers had any injuries and the police say there won’t be any charges against them.

The police ask anyone with information about this incident to call the Town of Tonawanda Police Department at (716) 879-6614, or their confidential tip line: (716) 879-6606.

Motorcyclists are exposed to a high risk of fatal injuries due to the fact that they don’t have any protection (besides the helmets).

Even if they’re careful drivers, sometimes all it takes is a little distraction, unadjusted speed, or road bump, for such accidents to occur.

If you have lost a loved one in a motorcycle accident, or you were injured in such circumstances, make sure you speak to a motorcycle accident attorney as soon as possible.

You have the right to file for a compensation claim that will help you cover your medical bills, lost wages, and other accident-related damages.

Testimonials

  • This letter is to thank Ms. Diane D’Andrea, assistant to Mr. George Gridelli, Attny for all the hard work, dedication, and attentiveness she showed during the representation of my case. She was always cheerful and ready to help in whatever way she could. All messages left for Mr. Gridelli were always relayed and Mr. Gridelli always promptly returned our calls. She was a very competent assistant. Cellino Law has proven to be a model of what legal representation should be. Throughout the 6 ½ years of this case, I have heard many horror stories from people with “bad lawyer stories.” We consider ourselves to be very lucky to have chosen Cellino Law and will always recommend you to those looking for good, honest representation with a personal touch.

  • I really just wanted to say thank you so much for taking my case, answering all my questions, and mostly for being very patient with me. I feel that without you and Roza I would not have been able to get anything at all. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will definitely want you both working for me. Again thank your for you hard work, time and patience.
