One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 531 on Tuesday, April 27. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said that they got a report for a motorcycle accident around 10:45 p.m.
MCSO deputies, Ogden Police Department and Spencerport Fire Department arrived at the area of Route 531 near Manitou Road and found the motorcyclist on the road with serious injuries. The driver was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital but died as a result of the injuries.
The police are now asking witnesses of the crash on Route 531 to call the police and help them with the investigation. The area was closed for a few hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
The risk of getting severe injuries while riding a motorcycle is twice as likely. Motorcycles don’t give any protection to the rider, no matter how carefully they are. Even a small crash can lead to harsh injuries; in most cases, these people end with traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries and fractures that occur when they fall on the ground.
If you were injured in an accident of this type or have lost a loved one in such circumstances you may be entitled to a compensation claim. Make sure to contact an attorney as soon as possible. They will help you file the claim, represent you in court if the case gets to court, and will negotiate with the insurance company for your claim.
Recovering from your injuries may take longer and the medical bills will pile. Having a claim will significantly help you pay for these bills, but also compensate for the lost wages, pain and suffering as well.
