A one-year-old boy was killed in an upstate New York agricultural accident on Thursday, March 25. According to New York State Police, one-year-old Benjamin Miller was fatally hit after approaching a skid steer that his father was using to tow a hay wagon.

The accident happened in the town of Burke, Franklin County, along the Canadian border. The boy was taken to a hospital in Malone, where the doctors pronounced him dead.

When such tragedies happen, the last thing a family can think of is legal matters. However, they should contact an attorney who has experience with such accidents and seek justice.

A personal injury attorney will review the case and explain what should be done. The family can file for a compensation claim that will cover the medical bills for the victim (if they were staying in a hospital), funeral and burial fees and other expenses.

Such cases are never easy since the family is in great pain, but some things have to be done.

If you have lost a loved one in a car accident or because of a personal injury caused by another party (due to negligence or mal intention) don’t wait for time to pass by. It’s important to hire a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible so they can start doing their job.

In such cases, the attorney is the one who will take care of the legal matters and advise the mourning family what to do next. The compensation claim might not bring back the lost life, but will surely help you to continue with your life.

For every question you have, Cellino Law is here to answer it. If you’re looking for experienced and skilled New York personal injury attorneys – we’re here for you. Contact our office today.

Testimonials

  • Joe and I just wanted to send you this note thanking you for the professional way you handled our lawsuit. Your kindness was extremely appreciated in a very difficult time. When we found out the people that caused the accident had no insurance, we thought our chances of receiving any settlement was nonexistent. Once we met with you and released you were able to help us our minds were put at ease. Your aggressive manner of handling the case exceeded our expectations. Please feel free to use us as a reference. Thank you so much and best wishes,

    Danielle and Joe

  • I can only say great things about my attorney Allan Silverstein. He is professional, he calls back right away, he keeps me informed, and makes me feel comfortable as this entire ordeal is stressful. I have total confidence in his ability to handle whatever comes his way. He is no nonsense and very good at his job. Thank you Allan... he is a true asset to the team!

  • I really just wanted to say thank you so much for taking my case, answering all my questions, and mostly for being very patient with me. I feel that without you and Roza I would not have been able to get anything at all. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will definitely want you both working for me. Again thank your for you hard work, time and patience.

  • I highly recommend Cellino Law to anyone involved in a car crash. I worked with Michael Lovecchio, and had a wonderful experience given the circumstances. He was very attentive, and got the best possible outcome I could have wanted.

  • Thank you for your efforts on my behalf. I am very pleased (and surprised) at the amount of the settlement. We will use the funds to help pay down the debt on the truck we had to purchase after ours was totaled. Thank you again.
