A snowmobile accident in Perinton, New York, killed a man and injured his two-year-old child, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed. The man’s identity has not been released yet.

The thirty-four-year-old man was sitting behind his kid on the snowmobile when the vehicle crashed into a fence and a tree in Perinton.

According to Sgt. Matthew Bottone deputies responded to Kurt Road to an accident that occurred behind the residential road near Route 96. Bottone informed that the man was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The child had minor injuries.

So far, the deputies haven’t released additional information about the snowmobile accident in Perinton.

None of us thinks that they might end up in an accident, especially when we’re doing something for fun. Snowmobiles aren’t cars, but these vehicles can easily end up in an accident. All it takes a little distraction, or lack of experience in riding such snowmobiles, and you can easily overturn or crash into another snowmobile, an object, or a human.

If that happens, you should seek medical help as soon as possible. Although this isn’t a typical auto accident, you still need to call the police and report the case.

When you’re riding on snow, even with a snowmobile, the chances for an accident are twice as big due to the weather conditions.

In case you have lost a loved one in such circumstances, you should seek legal assistance and let your lawyer gather evidence, and see what the best steps will be for your case.

Although in many cases the weather is the main reason for such accidents, your New York auto accident attorney may discover that the snowmobile had faulty parts, or was poorly maintained.

Don’t let time slip by and schedule your first consultation at Cellino Law.

  • I really just wanted to say thank you so much for taking my case, answering all my questions, and mostly for being very patient with me. I feel that without you and Roza I would not have been able to get anything at all. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do I will definitely want you both working for me. Again thank your for you hard work, time and patience.
