Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Buffalo, at Genesee Street and Kilhoffer Street, just before 1 p.m. on December 28.
The Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo said that two vehicles, a black minivan, and a white car crashed in a direct collision. Witnesses say that the minivan was going at an extremely high speed.
The sixty-seven-year-old man who was operating the car and his eighteen-year-old female passenger in the back seat were killed at the scene. The driver of the van, a thirty-eight-year-old man from Niagara Falls, was also killed at the scene.
The police say the van was traveling roughly 80 miles per hour. The scene was horrific and will take some time for the police to reconstruct the crash. The toxicology result is pending and will determine what led to the two-vehicle crash in Buffalo and who was responsible for it.
For now, the police haven’t released the identities of the victims. Although in the beginning, there was a rumor that there were children involved, the police denied this.
A sixty-one-year-old man was taken to ECMS for treatment after he was hit by debris. He is expected to be well.
